Established in 1983, The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) is an independent non-profit organization the United Kingdom. One their task to support up and coming young scientist to promote the basic research in medicine. It is an organization that specifically geared up for the goal of the young professionals. Over the years, the foundation scholarship/fellowship program has been successful.
The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds will award a travel grant to a junior researcher who is currently organizing an experimental biomedical research to pursue their practice course up to 3 months.
Purpose
For them to be able to learn a well-defined method for research and encourage students to attend research-oriented courses including practical training. At the end of the studies, the students shall pursue a short-term project for at least 4 weeks of the run.
Timing
Applications have no deadline. All application should be submitted to Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds for at least 6 weeks before the planned date of departure.
How to apply
The application should be submitted personally by the applicant and should be completed in English. The requirements will be asking for the shortlisted applicants.
Eligibility
- Open to European and to the non-European citizen who wishes to perform MD, Ph.D. in Europe.
- Applicants shall pursue an experimental project in Biomedical research.
- Should not be over 30 years old students who are taking Ph.D. Thesis pursuing an experimental project. Ph.D. students or medical students pursuing an experimental doctoral thesis who are not older than 30 years of age;
- graduates from abroad who have applied for a Ph.D. project, but who have not yet worked with their potential Ph.D. supervisor.
