Scholarship details
The Estonian Institute is a non governmental and non profit organization which aims to promote Estonian Culture across abroad. The Institute was founded in 1989 by Lennart Meri. Over the years, the primary goal of the Institute to spread information about Estonian society and culture in some countries, the educational strategy and links and the teaching strategy of Estonian Language and culture outside Estonia. One of their accomplished task through this year is their published informative books and periodicals about Estonia and all other Estonian related study.The order environment has been created for lecturers of higher education institutions teaching Estonian and culture , as well as for teaching materials for foreign language teachers and societies. For the couple of years, they created scholarship program to all PhD and Masteral students to pursue their research developing skills. The Estonian Institute is now offering scholarship to all PhD and Masters degree students who are citizens of a foreign state and currently studying at a University abroad to do a research paper on a Estonia related study.
Applications is still open. The deadline is on March 1 and October.
The following documents should be included upon applying for the scholarships:
- Filled-up Online Application form.
- Curriculum Vitae
- Certification that applicants is a post graduate students or any documents providing his/her PhD Degree.
- Written confirmation from Estonian Institute research or development Department
- If post-graduate students; should provide recommendation from their respective research supervisor.
All these must be submitted through regular mail to the Secretariat of the Council of Estonian Institute, Suur-Karja 14, 10140 Tallinn.
The program will cover the subsistence expenses, tuition fee and costs with a total of $3000 for a 5 month period.
