The Fulbright Scholarships – LASPAU for University Teachers, 2022 – Costa Rica offers the opportunity to obtain a master’s degree (and in some cases a doctorate) in the United States and were conceived to promote the training and strengthening of faculty in universities.

This program was established and funded as part of the United States Government’s Fulbright Academic Exchanges program, in collaboration with LASPAU (Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas).

Ph.D. applicants must have a master’s degree and an excellent command of English.
The Fulbright Program provides support for a maximum of two years to scholarship recipients for masters and doctoral programs.
The additional time required in the case of the doctorate is paid by the Costa Rican universities (or other possible sources of financing that they manage to obtain), a commitment that they acquire when presenting their candidates.

THE AREAS OF STUDY CONSIDERED ARE THE FOLLOWING:
– Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Arts, Humanities, Natural Resource Management / Sustainable Development, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics.
– Priority will be given to those who wish to specialize in the teaching of English, international business, public administration, economics, culture, literature, and the history of the United States.
