Tuition Assistance for Mexican Students (TAMS) award offered by the University of Texas at Austin is intended for the Mexican students who will be commencing their undergraduate degree for the academic year of 2021-2022. For the Mexican students who are struggling to fund their tuition fees, the scholarship offered by the University of Texas in Austin is a great opportunity to lessen the burden on financial struggle and continue achieving the student’s career goal.
Tuition Assistance for Mexican Students (TAMS) provides tuition fee assistance for deserving Mexican students. The scholarship is not a cash reward and it won’t be converted as cash. The tuition fee waiver will apply for undergraduate students who can demonstrate their talent and knowledge to show that they are deserving to receive the award.
The University of Texas at Austin provides various scholarships, grants and also offers students loans annually to help every student continue their education without a barrier. The university offers hundreds of undergraduate programs and a hundred and 70 graduate programs. Eligibility
The scholarship is only intended for Mexican Students, all students from Mexico who will be admitted for the undergraduate program are eligible to apply for the scholarship in any field courses offered by the university. The Mexican students must be able to demonstrate their financial needs to be able to receive the Tuition Assistance for Mexican Students (TAMS).
Application Process
The students must check the eligibility of the scholarship before continuing their application, and should be admitted to the university. If the students are already admitted, they can access the online portal application that will be provided by the university. The students are required to complete the application form and submit their supporting documents along with the application.
The students are required to submit the documents for scholarship application such as:
- Bank Statements- the bank statements to be provided must be recent 3 months statements which include the recent deposit and withdrawal for the past three months’ transactions. Please provide a statement in the English Language.
- Personal Statement- the personal statements must be submitted that explain the student’s financial needs and recent changes towards their financial situation such as medical, family-related, or other reasons why they cant afford to further their education due to loss of sponsorship or other reason that they can provide. The statement must be written within a limit of two pages only.
- Special documentation is optional and if students can provide evidence of documents that can show or prove their personal statements.
Please keep in mind that the personal statements can help students on the evaluation for the scholarship awards.
Scholarship Awards
The deserving Mexican students will be receiving a tuition fee waiver to further their undergraduate degree at the University of Texan at Austin. If you are a current recipient of the award, the university encourages the students to submit a renewal for the application in order to continue receiving the awards for the future year of their undergraduate degree.
Scholarship Deadline
The scholarship application is open October 1, 2021, and the deadline will be until November 1, 2021. The scholarship will be offered annually by the university.
