Scholarship details
Calling all the outstanding students from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Nepal to join the South Asia Scholarship provided by the University of Tasmania to encourage the eligible students to pursue their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at the university for the academic year od 2022-2023.
To help ease the burden of financial barriers that most common students are getting through to further their education, The University of Tasmania offers opportunities to both local and international students by annually providing a variety of scholarships and bursaries that may help them succeed in their career goals and financial goals.
South Asia Scholarship is a tuition fee reduction award with a total of 15% reduction on the student fees for the whole duration of their courses at the university. As the tuition fee rises annually, the university provides a reduced fee to help lessen the international fee to further their higher degree in Australia.

Eligibility
Before proceeding with the application, the students must meet the eligibility of the scholarship.
- The applicants must be a citizen of eligible countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Nepal.
- Must be admitted to the eligible courses for the scholarship.
- Courses will include the undergraduate it must be Nursing and postgraduate coursework must be Master of Laboratory Medicine.
- Must be commencing the higher degree at the University of Tasmania for the first time.
- Students must not be from the Transnational.
- Must be able to commence their study program at the university for the academic year of 2022, at any study period.
- Must be able to submit proof of their citizenship from South Asia.
- Good communication skills in oral and written English.
- The students must have good academic achievements and meet the required grade for the eligible courses.
Note: International students on a student visa must continue to meet the requirements for a visa and must continue to meet the participation in the course and the progress for each period of studies required by the University of Tasmania.
Application Process
Eligible students from South Asia must be able to submit their applications in an online portal provided by the University of Tasmania. Admission for the courses can also be made through online access.
The applicants will be automatically assessed for the South Asia Scholarships for the academic year of 2022-2023, upon submission of the international application. There will be no separate application needed.

Keep in mind that the students must meet the admission requirements of the university and be able to classify for international admission.
Language Requirements
The students from South Asia must be able to meet the minimum English language requirements of the university.

The test can be accepted within the last two years of the results.
Scholarship Benefits
The successful students will be awarded a 15% tuition fee reduction on the eligible courses of the program. The scholarship award duration will be for the whole course of the students. The students must be able to maintain their academic progress and agreed to the terms and conditions applied to the scholarship. Failure to meet the requirements to maintain the scholarship will be subject to withdrawal from the university committee.
