Scholarship details
The University of Sydney International Research Scholarship is open to candidates who are eligible to undertake a Master’s by Research Program or a Post Graduate Research Degree at the university. The aim of the scholarship is to attract brilliant international postgraduate students to carry out research projects which would improve the university’s research activities.

Scholarship value/inclusions
The scholarship will cover scholar’s tuition fees and living allowance for up to three years with the possibility of a semester’s extension for PhD students
Eligibility
To be eligible, prospective scholars must;
– Be an international student starting full time enrolment in a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) at the university
– Be undertaking study in subject area regarded by the university as an area of current and emerging research strength
– Not have a qualification regarded as equivalent to an Australian Research Doctorate degree. And if scholar is undertaking a Research Master’s degree, scholars must not hold any research qualification that is equivalent or superior to an Australian Research Master’s degree
– Not have won an Australian Award scholarship within 2 years preceding the commencement of the RTP Fee Scholarship
Application instruction
To be considered for the scholarship, scholars must submit an application for admission into the research degree of their choice as there is no separate application form. Scholars are expected to read the selection process and Research Experience guide and also to visit the official scholarship website for detailed information about the scholarship.
