Scholarship details
Candidates are welcome to apply for Hsiao Memorial Social Sciences Scholarship supported by Asia Pacific Fund. This program is accessible for the candidates from everywhere throughout the world to seek a graduate degree.
The scholarship was made for the tribute to Liang-Lin Hsiao who was a teacher of economics at Indiana State University. The point of the grant is to help students from everywhere throughout the world to direct degree in Social Sciences.
The Asia Pacific Fund is a differentiated, closed-end administration venture organization, is listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the image “APB.” Its property comprises of interests in value securities of organizations in the Asia Pacific district.
The successful student will be awarded in the field of social science and will cover a 1,000$ US Dollar. US citizen, foreign national or US residents are eligible to apply.
Criteria must be met in order to apply:
- The students must be attending a US-based school or college in 2018-19
- at least a GPA of 3.0
- Seeking a graduate degree in the sociologies, economics favored however not required
- the inclination is given to themes that advantage those in social/financial need, particularly Asian and Asian American people group
- an inclination for Asian legacy however not required
