Student Cost of Living
For a single student living in Rwanda, they would only need $430 USD for all utilities, food, clothing, and necessities. This does not include rent; however, rent is around $100 USD. Kigali City has rent available for the low price of $100 USD per month.
Overall students can easily live comfortably with $800 USD per month. That is on the high end of the comfortable living spectrum too.
Cost of Tuition
Rwanda has some of the cheapest tuition costs in the world. A single year would be less than $1,000 USD per academic year. Even a master’s degree only equals to an equivalate of $1,000 USD per year.

Languages Spoken in Rwanda
What are the main languages spoken in Rwanda? The main official languages spoken throughout the country are Kinyarwanda, French and English. Swahili is another language that international students will come across quite a lot when they are staying in Rwanda.
While there are other dialects spoken throughout the country, the three mentioned above are the most common languages that are reported.
International students could learn a lot when they learn Kinyarwanda or Swahili since both are incredibly influential within the region. Also, foreign students will be able to take more programs and classes if they are slightly fluent in one of these languages, which opens more doors to opportunities and scholarship options.
