Scholarship Level:
While these scholarships are beneficial to all students, they are created with a particular group of students in mind.
Basically, these scholarships are available to students who are seeking undergraduate and graduate degrees in any field of study offered by the institution of their choice.
Eligible Nationalities:
In the course of this article, I will list some scholarships in ten different countries that an Egyptian student like you can get. In essence, these scholarships are International Scholarships only for Egyptian students who want to study abroad.
Below is a list of the countries, their scholarships, and their requirements.

1. American University Emerging Global Leader Scholarship
The AU Emerging Global Leader Scholarship enhances educational access and opportunities while increasing international diversity.
This organization seeks to enhance academic excellence and global leadership on a broad stage. The AU EGL is committed to positive civic and social change and will return home to improve underserved and underserved communities in their home country.
Requirements:
- International students who have overcome various obstacles and challenges, as well as those from diverse and underrepresented global and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- A minimum of 3.8 equivalent GPA (or in the top 10% of the graduating class) for grades nine through twelve.
- A demonstrated commitment to leadership, volunteerism, community service, and advancing the needs of people in their home country.
- A minimum of 95 TOEFL iBT, 7.0 IELTS, or 600 paper-based TOEFL

2. ICSP Scholarships at the University of Oregon
ICSP Scholarships at the University of Oregon are for international students who demonstrate strong financial need. A good number of ICSP students receive a tuition waiver scholarship ranging from 0 to 15 non-resident academic credits per term.
Each term, the amount of the scholarship remains constant. ICSP students are expected to complete 80 hours per year of cultural service as required by the program. Cultural service may include speaking or giving demonstrations to schools or community groups about your country’s heritage and culture or participating in international events on campus.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be admissible or fully admitted to the University of Oregon. New students must apply for admission to the UO for 2022
- Applicants cannot be US citizens, US permanent residents, or eligible for US federal financial assistance.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need and meet the minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 3.0
ICSP students agree to complete 80 hours per year of cultural service as required by the program.

Europe
Different countries in Europe offer scholarships for foreigners, including Egyptian students, to study abroad. Therefore, we encourage eligible Egyptians to apply.
3. Italian Government Scholarships for Foreign Students
Every year, the University of Bologna grants financial aid to university students who wish to pursue bachelor’s and master’s studies.
These scholarships are for international students at Italian universities. Each scholarship seeks to help students eliminate financial burdens while studying.
Requirements:
To be eligible to apply for one of these scholarships, you must:
- Be an international or European Union (non-UK) student, who pays
- Postgraduate only: You have achieved a minimum of 2.1 or equivalent on your honors degree and must meet the academic and English entry requirements for your course. Please attach your transcripts to your scholarship application
- For university students only: have met or exceeded the academic and English entry requirements for the course
- Make an offer for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University.
- Be self-financing your studies.
- Be able to pay any additional fees your course may require, for example excursions
- Knowledge of the Italian language: Candidates must possess an intermediate level certificate in Italian (for example, CILS B2, CELI 3, PLIDA B2 or Roma Tre) or equivalent language proficiency issued by a local organization or language school (for example, Instituto Italian Cultural Society, Dante Alighieri branch, etc.). Applicants for enrollment in advanced Italian language and culture courses must have at least an A2 level of proficiency in Italian.
- Knowledge of the Italian language is not required for applicants enrolling in university courses taught entirely in English.
- Age limits: Candidates under 18 years of age (born no later than April 15, 1998) or over 35 years of age (born no earlier than April 15, 1981) on the day of the application submission deadline no they are eligible. Candidates for courses for teachers of Italian as a second language (see above, section III, letter I) are eligible until they are 45 years old (born not before April 15, 1971) on the day of the submission deadline of the requests.
- Restrictions: Students enrolled in a year that exceeds the legal duration of the course of study (the so-called “fuori Corso”) are not eligible for scholarships.

4. Emile Boutmy Scholarships for Non-EU Science Students
Sciences Po initiated the Emile Boutmy Scholarship, named after the founder of Sciences Po (1871), to welcome the best international students from outside the European Union.
The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to the best students whose profiles match Sciences Po’s admission priorities and individual course requirements.
Requirements:
- Eligible students are those, first-time applicants, from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
- This scholarship is awarded based on factors of excellence and according to the type of profile sought for this program. Social criteria are also taken into account.

5. Lund University Global Scholarship Program
As a top 100 university ranked in the top 0.4% of world universities, Lund University attracts high-achieving students from all over the world. The Lund University Global Scholarship program seeks to recognize these students by awarding academic excellence scholarships.
Scholarship recipients have a strong track record of consistently achieving high grades in their prior studies and earning a strong assessment as qualified candidates for the programs. The scholarship is selective, competitive, and merit-based.
Requirements:
- To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must meet all of the following criteria:
- You must be a citizen of a country outside of the EU/EEA (and Switzerland) and must pay a tuition fee
- You have applied for Bachelor or Master level studies in the regular application rounds for a minimum of one semester of study (30 ECTS)
PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you do not meet the admission requirements to Lund University or are unable to obtain the necessary funds to cover living costs, as required by the Swedish Migration Board.
- To apply for a Lund University Global Scholarship, you must first apply for the independent program or course(s) you wish to study at Lund University using the national online application website, www.universityadmissions.se during the application period.

6. International Ambassador Scholarships at University of West London
As a graduate of a three to four year Bachelor’s degree from the University of West London, you can gain access to a discount of £2,000.
If you want to join a taught postgraduate course, you will get a discount of £500. You can get this discount for both full-time and part-time study.

- A self-funded, full-fee paying foreign student (please note: EU applicants are not eligible).

7. The Denys Holland Scholarship at University College London
This scholarship for Egyptians aims to help undergraduate students, who without your support would not be able to obtain the necessary funds to study at UCL. There is a prize for 2022.
Requirements:
Applicants must be:
- Have an offer of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study in any department;
- In financial difficulty, and being able to prove that without the scholarship they would not be able to study at UCL;
- Preferably aged 25 or younger at the time of beginning your studies;
- Able to demonstrate that they have broad interests and intend to actively participate and contribute to the life of the university.

8. Transform Together Scholarships for International and European Union (non-UK) Students (Sheffield Hallam University)
The Transform Together Scholarships are exclusively for international and European Union (non-UK) students who wish to start a full-time taught course in 2022. A half-fee waiver (50% discount) is available for courses undergraduate and graduate courses taught during the first year of study.
Scholarships are awarded to students who can show excellent academic performance. Applicants must also explain how they will stand out from the crowd as an ambassador for Sheffield Hallam University during and after their studies.

9. Macquarie Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarships
The Macquarie University Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship is awarded to recognize the academic excellence of international students. This highly competitive scholarship is based on academic merit and is awarded to prospective students.
This scholarship provides up to AUD$10,000 applied towards your tuition.
Scholarships are limited, so we recommend that you accept your offer and scholarship early to avoid disappointment.
Requirements:
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
- Have met the University’s English and academic requirements for the course to be considered for a scholarship (you must have a FULL OFFER of admission to North Ryde before the application deadline).
- Have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0 for graduate applications and the minimum requirement of an ATAR equivalent of 90 out of 100 for undergraduate applications.

10. UC (University of Canterbury) Freshman Undergraduate Scholarships
The UC International First Year Scholarship recognizes and supports high-achieving international students beginning an undergraduate program at the University of Canterbury. The scholarship for Egyptians is currently awarded with values of $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000. There are about 25 scholarship awards for the recipients.
Requirements:
- Eligible candidates must be full-fee paying international students and cannot be citizens of New Zealand or Australia, or holders of New Zealand residence visas. They must complete, or have completed on or after 1 January of the year preceding the year of application, a university entrance level qualification leading to entry into a University of Canterbury Bachelor programme.
- Candidates must have applied for admission to the University before August 15 in the year prior to their first year of enrollment at the University.
- You can apply through this web page approximately 8 weeks before the applications close. If it is possible to apply for this scholarship online, there will be a link above to the online system. If the link is not provided, please download and complete the application form below.
