Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships for Ghanaian Students 202 2
Applications for the Research Training Program (RTP) have been invited. The scheme is administered by individual universities on behalf of the Department for Education and Training.
This program is among the Australian Scholarships for Ghanaian Students that aims to provide flexible funding arrangements to support the training of domestic and overseas students undertaking HDR at Australian HEPs, deliver graduates with the skills needed to build careers in academia and other sectors of the labor market, support collaboration between HEP and industry and other research on end-users and support overseas students undertaking HDR studies at Australian HEPs.

Africa Masters Scholarship and Short Courses Award (Fully Funded to Australia)
The Australian Government invites applications for the Australia Africa Awards. Australia Awards aims to promote knowledge, educational links, and lasting links between Australia and its neighbors through Australia’s extensive scholarship programs.
The initiative aims to build a new generation of world leaders with strong links to Australia. Australia Awards Africa is the cornerstone of the Australian Government’s development assistance program for Africa.
Provides access to postgraduate education, training, and professional development opportunities for suitably qualified Africans from eligible countries. Upon their return to the workplace, Australia Awards Alumni are expected to contribute to the development of their home countries.
Host / Eligible Nationality:
The scholarship is hosted in Australia and is open to all students from Africa of which Ghana is a part. So students from Ghana are eligible to apply.
Level/Field of Study:
This program is open for two different levels of study; a Master’s course and short training. No particular field of study is specified.
Scholarship worth:
Australia Masters Scholarship Awards: Entitlements for holders of a masters scholarship include the following:
- The full cost of tuition for up to two years.
- An economy class flight to and from Australia. Note: excess baggage and travel insurance costs are not covered
- An approximate annual stipend of AUD30,000 to cover living expenses while on Award in Australia and many other benefits not mentioned here.
Awards Australia Short Courses Awards: The rights of holders of a Short Course Award include the following:
- The total cost of tuition for the duration of the course.
- Mobilization travels from the country of origin to the course delivery location(s) and back to the country of origin. Note: excess baggage and travel insurance costs are not covered.

This scholarship is available to high-achieving domestic and international students pursuing a Master, Research, or Ph.D.
Host / Eligible Nationality
It is hosted by the University of Melbourne, Australia, and is open to students from Ghana. Other international students are eligible to apply. It is obviously the highest paid from the list of Australian Scholarships for Ghanaian Students.
Level:
Master and Ph.D. scholarship.
Scholarship worth:
- Compensated full fee for up to two years for students pursuing a master’s by research degree or up to four years for students pursuing a Ph.D.
- Living Allowance of $30,600 per year prorated (full-time study rate) for up to two years for students pursuing a Master’s by Research degree or up to 3.5 years for students pursuing a Ph.D.
- Relocation grant of $2000 for students moving from states or territories other than Victoria or $3000 for students moving from outside Australia and many other benefits not mentioned here.
