#1. ACBH Stipend Program for an Internship on Capitol Hill
Scholarship Benefit: $400-$1,000 Monthly Stipend
ACBH receives sponsorship from the Turkish Coalition of America (TCA), with which it is accepting applications for a student internship program and recent scholarships. University graduates who have received acceptance for an internship position with members of the United States Congress. This internship program stipend provides an opportunity for Bosnian American students to live and work in Washington, DC, thereby gaining exposure to US government institutions and policy-making processes. Through this program, ACBH intends to contribute to the preparation of future political and social leaders of Bosnia and America and to enhance the participation of the Bosnian and American communities in American political life.
In addition, ACBH will assist in providing candidate resources, including book websites, available to find rewarding internships.
The program is a monthly stipend between $400 for in-state participants and $1,000 for out-of-state participants. Other than these costs, there is no provision for any other cost coverage.

be United States citizens and be of Bosnian origin.
Have relevant academic training and maturity.
Exhibit excellence in communication and writing skills.
Have past interest and experience in public service and in the community.
The letter of acceptance for the internship from one of the offices of the United States Congress must be submitted by the applicants. In addition to this, they must also submit their most recent resume and a one-page cover letter explaining their interest in the community and public service, as well as their expectations of the program.

#2. AFSCME Union Scholars Program Summer Internship
Scholarship Benefit: $4,000 stipend
This program is a 10-week summer internship for students of color who are passionate about worker rights and social justice. The internship opportunity provides for a $4,000 stipend over the course of the internship, along with PAID accommodation and travel.
Students upon successful completion of the program can receive up to a $6,000 scholarship to return to school to pay for fees, books, housing, etc.

# 3. Go ahead! Funding the Gilbert G. Pompa Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Benefit: $1000
It is dedicated to Hispanic college students and its mission is to inspire the best and brightest Latino students to graduate and lead through internships, scholarships, and leadership training. All majors are welcome to apply for this scholarship, but students must be in pursuit of a pre-law program and/or have plans to attend law school.
Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited public/private college or university in the state of Texas and are mandated to have completed 90 credit hours by the fall semester. Applicants must be in possession of at least a GPA of 2.75 or higher and must be the US
Citizens or have permanent residence. Preference will be given to students of Hispanic descent.
#4. APSA Minority Scholarship Program
Scholarship Benefit: $4,000
This is a competitive scholarship for people from underrepresented backgrounds applying to doctoral programs in political science. The MFP was established in 1969 and was originally known as the Black Graduate Fellowship to increase the number of minority scholars in the discipline.
Eligibility:
Applicants must
be a member of one of the following racial/ethnic minority groups: African American, Latino/a, Asian Pacific American, and Native American.
College/university graduate, college/university seniors, or students currently enrolled in a master’s program.
Demonstrate interest in teaching and potential for research in political science.
Be a US citizen at the time of application
Added to this, those not admitted for the current year may request that their award be deferred for one year, to be administered only if one is not admitted to a political science graduate program starting next fall. There will be a review of deferral requests for the following year by the committee. Postponements are not guaranteed.

This is a state student assistance program designed to provide financial assistance to residents of the state of Alabama for study at the undergraduate level. Applicants must have obtained a high school graduation certificate.
The recognized equivalence of said graduation is also accepted; Applicants must be Alabama residents as defined in Alabama Study and Scholarship Program Act 90. The NPELRA Foundation is a non-profit affiliate of the National Employers Public Labor Relations Association (NPELRA) and offers scholarships to deserving graduate students studying labor and labor relations or a closely related field.
This Foundation seeks to provide financial assistance to worthy graduate students interested in a career in public sector labor and employee relations.
Any US citizen who is a graduate student currently enrolled in and pursuing a graduate degree in human resources, labor and industrial relations, public administration, or political science with a documented and strong interest in the public sector is encouraged to apply.

Richard Eaton, a United States Army counterintelligence special agent, and Bronze Star recipient died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on August 12, 2003. The scholarship is named in honor of Barbara Odom-Wesley, the president of the Xi Theta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. In all facets of the Michigan oil and natural gas industry, the Michigan Oil and Gas Association (MOGA) represents nearly 850 members. As an industry, it is committed to education. The desire is to ensure that today’s bright young minds have the knowledge, experience, and tools necessary for the success and power of their state.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be Michigan residents enrolled in an accredited Michigan College or University (high school graduates who are enrolled in a Michigan College or University are included)
Demonstration of financial need is required.
Applicants must be in possession of a GPA of at least 2.75 (calculated on a 4.00 scale)
They must be enrolled in a course of study that is affiliated with the Michigan oil and natural gas industry.
Each scholarship is for at least a sum of $500 and must be paid directly to the educational institution where the applicant has been enrolled. These scholarships can be renewed each year, with the opportunity for renewing scholarship applicants to receive additional funding above $500 dollars.
The initial responsibility of the award recipient is to submit the Annual Renewal Application annually (up to 3 years or until a bachelor’s degree is obtained, whichever comes first). There will be a review for the renewal of applications on a case-by-case basis. Renewal is not guaranteed.

The goal of this program is to increase the number of students who complete coursework and graduate with degrees in specific academic fields that are integral to NOAA’s mission. This program is targeted at students who have completed their sophomore year, are attending Minority Serving Institutions (MSI), and have recently declared or are about to declare a major in ocean, atmospheric, or environmental disciplines that support these sciences.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens currently enrolled or accepted as a full-time sophomore in a junior in a five-year or four-year academic program in a discipline related to the programs and NOAA mission at an accredited minority-serving institution (university or college within US territories or the United States).

Scholarship Benefit: $5,000
This is one of the top political science scholarships in the US. Boren Scholarships, an initiative of the Homeland Security Education Program, provide unique funding opportunities for United States graduate students to study languages less frequently taught in regions of the world critical to United States interests. , and underrepresented in study abroad, including Asia. Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Eurasia, and the Middle East. Western European countries, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand are not included.
Boren Fellows represent a vital group of highly motivated individuals who want to work in the field of federal homeland security. As an exchange of funds, Boren Scholars commit to working in the federal government for a minimum of one year after graduation.
A minimum of 12 weeks abroad and a maximum of one year abroad make up the Brown Scholarship. The duration of the programs funded by Boren is between June 1 and March 1.
Boren Scholars can study abroad in Africa, Latin America, Central, and Eastern Europe, Asia, Eurasia, and the Middle East. Students may apply to study in any country outside of the following locations: Western Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. An adequate justification should be given to comparative studies of various countries.

Applicants must be US citizens
They must be enrolled in or applying to a graduate program at a US university or college that has its location within the US and is accredited by a body in charge of accreditation that is recognized by the US Department of Education Boren Scholars must remain enrolled in their graduate programs for the duration of the scholarship and cannot graduate until the scholarship is completed.
Applicants must have plans for a program abroad that meets the standards of the home institution in a country outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand. The Boren Scholarship is not for study in the United States.
